Do you idolize someone?

Someone in everyone's life is an inspiration. Everyone has that one person, or maybe a few people, who they can say has changed the way that you think and act. Or maybe that influence isn't on you, but one the world. Maybe you need to think even smaller, and shoot for the fact that that person has influenced one, two, or three lives over the course of their days.

Who is your idol? And WHY?

I've never really had an idol before. Until just a few weeks ago. A lot of you may not know who she is, or why in the world I would idolize her, but to me, Kat Von D, the artist and star of the TLC show LA Ink, is my idol.

She makes it her goal to understand and listen to every client that passes through her tattoo shop. She doesn't think of people as just people, she'd rather get to know them and really understand why it is that she's painting an image of ink into that person's skin. A tattoo if forever, you can't just take it back or decide that you want it to go away. Kat wants to know why you want that image on your skin for the rest of your life.

She gives up a ton for other people. Not to mention that she's generous, kind, and just a funny girl. She doesn't stereotype, or hold grudges against people for things that they do. And from what I've seen and read about her, she's a great, great friend. I just hope that, some day, I can have all of those qualities.

If I ever had the chance to meet her, I'd take it in a heartbeat. She seems like an all-around amazing person, and she would be someone really cool to meet and have the chance to spend some time with.

believe it or not. nick jonas! yeah your probably like "yup she's one of those girls that just likes him because he's hot." and thats so not why. and plus i don't use the word "hot" the way most people do these days. he just seems like an all-around down to earth person. from what i've seen he's sweet and enjoys life the way it is. plus he's close to his family and a proud christian. i'd give almost anything to be able to be around my family as much as he does, even though it may sound crazy. i'd adore going to church every sunday again, and sitting around my bed every night with my family and pray.

rodrigo pessoa. because he's the most amazing equestrian i've ever seen, and he's a real horseman, not just some guy who gets on a horse that other people groom and warm up.
i'd killlll to be able to ride like him, holycrap.

To be honest, I don't truly have an idol or role model. I never really have. I have people I like and occasionally wish I could be as good as them, but truthfully, no idolizing.

I like Kat too. She's awesome =) And that website is really cool.

There's so many different kinds of inspiration, but one of my true ones would have to be my best friend. She's been there all my life, even though she moved away, we're together now. We have so much in common and I absolutely love her. Sometimes it's hard for me to open up to her because I feel maybe she'd come to the conclusion that I'm.. I don't know, just someone that she shouldn't hang with. But I know deep down, especially now opening up about it, that she would never do that. She'd be by my side in a heartbeat.

Thanks for this Niki.. there's some things I really need to get out. And this journal has made me open up and realize I can only make our friendship stronger by confiding in her with my most valued secrets.

I can't say I've had only one inspiration or role model, or only a few. I look to a lot of different people for bits and pieces of advice, get their take and opinions on things. I take inspiration after many minor events, through observation of my surroundings. I analyze my environment to see what works, and what doesn't =D

She sounds like a good friend, by the way. I have one just like her, heh. She's been there for me through a lot of crappy times, and she's seen me cry, just like I've seen her. We've been through a ton together, and it only makes up grow stronger.
